The Dogs:
Rhoda (Rhodie) - rescued from the Ark in Lacon, IL. abused as a puppy and has only one ear standing. We're the longest home she's ever had and a great part of the family. She definatly has favorites in the family...and I'm not one of them. We don't really get along very well, and I was the one that begged mom for a dog! Ohwell, she listens to me better than anyone else. Henry - We were given this giant lug after our most recent farm dog, Pup, died. He's a Chocolate Lab/ Weimerhimer mix. He's 107 lbs and thinks he's a lap dog. Let's just say that life with this dude is really intresting! |
The Cats:
Alex (missing) - Cyrus's neice. she was born in the garage along with 6 others when her mom showed up. Only her and her sister, Theo, survived out of the 7 of them. She's still housed in the garage 1/2 of the time but her sweet personality grows on us everyday. When we move she's going to live with a friend. She's from momma's first litter. Cyrus - rescued a few years ago during VBS in the church's parking lot; he'd fit in one hand. We housed him in our garage as well. Now, he's a gigantic jungle cat haha. Very handsome and now living out at my dad's as an indoor/outdoor cat since he just couldn't get along with the others. Him and Rhodie are the best of friends and play around every chance they get. Again, a very smug looking boy! Katie - aka: lardo. rescued from the outside wild world when she was a kitten. When we housed her in the garage. We used to call here lil cat but not anymore! haha..she's a really loving girl that's always looking for a lap to lay on. She's also quite the eater, she'll eat anything in sight and never complains if we change foods. Maggie - rescued off of a highway chasing semis when she was a kitten. She's got some major bi-polar issues, but a loving cat none the less. We got her from one of my dad's co-workers right after loosing one of my favorite cats, Pretzel :(. When we got to the person's house, her daughter brought out Maggie and proceeded to tell us how she had named her Cloe and tied a cute little pink bow around her neck...that was about to change. Personally, I think that's why she's got so many issues now; traumatized for life. Ming - Ming is no longer a stray! She followed my mom to Kansas and now lives with one of her friends there. She is a very happy kitty. |
Others:
Gabbi - My second netherland dwarf. She's unshowable due to her type and color. I bought her before I learned type and reminds me every day to improve upon the breed. She's quite the loveable rabbit, though. Hurley - One of Gabbi's sons. He's actually not bad type. He has white hairs and flyback fur. He's gotten a few wins but I've retired him early. Red ( red leader) - One of Gabbi's daughters. She takes after her mom in type and also has flyback fur. She's also been retired early. Darth Vader - My ultimate favorite rabbit. He's a near perfect netherland dwarf (if it weren't for his white hairs). I wish i could show him but, as it is, he's sticking around to be a pet. |
